Eblen Macari trio

One of the most surprising experiences in contemporary music in Mexico is that of the Eblen Macari Trio, which combines contemporary guitar developed in Latin America, with ethnic sounds from different parts of the world.

In this adventure, in which the creative freedom of jazz with the avant-garde musical languages exploration and the influence of millenary sound traditions combine, it is obtained a unique and original sound that doesn´t forget of its double root, the same in the vast musical landscape of Mexico as in the Middle Eastern music. Integrated by the Mexican Lebanese origin composer and guitar player Eblen Macari, the multi-instrumentalist Jesús Yusuf Isa Cuevas and the young percussionist Eblen Macari Martínez, this singular trio has performed at diverse stages in Mexico, Central America, United States, Canada and Europe, taking their audience to an acoustic experience that, at the same time that nourishes of the sources of its own country, makes of its own sounds that, in spite of the geographical distances, belongs to the whole humankind. This is why the trio´s compositions are based on the contemporary music, the Mexican tradition and the Middle Eastern heritage of Eblen Macari.
