Holder of a solid baritonal voice of extensive attitude, which from the beginning had allowed him to undertake scores of easy and widespread consumption, but foreign to his artistic rope and to his interests, Oscar Chávez is an alive legend of the popular singing, for being just unexpected and turn into inventor of a unique style of interpretation that confuses, weaves, remodels new and ancient voices with his own.
 
Oscar Chávez has been busy, throughout more than three decades, agreeing with own, anonymous and foreign work, his particular song-book that he renews constantly in the stages and in several dozens of engraved discs.
