Teatro Phi
Teatro Phi a theater company that explores the art of body percussion, an artistic language based on rhythmic sounds generated by the body of the performers, movement and everyday objects. These objects are transformed into musical instruments capable of generating different rates, melodies and songs which are staged through a big performance that includes drama, dance and percussion.
To achieve this explosion of sensations, Phi Theater Company uses PVC pipes, garbage dumps, pans, pots, tables, glasses, flashlights, and brooms. All these objects help us to interpret a great song, which, with the work of the actors, gives life to a show full of coordination, energy, magic and humor.
In seven years of work, our company has created a language that is itself an example of precision stage, which has resulted in three different spectacles: Phi 1618; Phiesta Urbana and Auch! They all have had seasons in major theaters in the city of Santiago (Chile) and also highly successful international tours, captivating audiences from countries like the Dominican Republic, Peru and Mexico.
Auch! Is the name of our last performance, an example of creativity, theater and music. For an hour, the show offers a unique experience for those willing to enjoy an impressive coordination spectacle. Six actors on stage are in charge of exploring the concept of the urbanity with sounds and physical acting. Auch! is designed as a concert of great virtuosity and a high standard rhythmic show.
